The Munnar Carmelagiri Elephant Park is on the way to the Mattupetty Dam. The exciting elephant safari is through misty forests along rugged hill paths. It’s definitely an unforgettable experience. Elephant shower and feeding, timber dragging demonstrations and display of elephant commands and communication are the key features of this safari.
The hills of Munnar carpeted by the green tea gardens are an amazing sight indeed. It is a wonderfully soothing to take a walk amidst the beautiful tea estates, the air scented with the aroma of tea. The Tata Tea Museum is a must visit place, where it gives an idea of the basic functioning of a tea factory. It also houses antiques from the colonial era. Kolukkumalai Tea Estate is one of the highest tea plantations in the world. Fasten the seatbelts and brace yourselves for the adventurous car ride. The magical views of the Western Ghats greet us along the route even though the ride is difficult and bumpy.
